An Introduction To Everything You Need To Know As A Young Actor
As a young actor this is your your first real screen acting short program that will give you the opportunity to work with international teachers, learn the fundamental acting concepts and techniques and how to shoot monologues for auditions.

MODULE-1
The Meisner Technique
With Skye Hallam

Learn to play your characters as real people. Understand the principles of emotional preparation, improvisation and repetition. It is the most popular acting technique used by screen actors.
Skye Hallam is an Anglo-Indian actress, writer, director and acting tutor from Kingston Upon-Thames. Skye trained at RADA, graduating in 2016 and made her stage debut with TARA Theatre in ‘Paradise of the Assassins'. Her acting credits include ‘The Crown’ (Netflix) and ‘The Alienist’ (Netflix) and Sarah Ruhl’s ‘Orlando’, at the Jermyn Street Theatre. As a director Skye’s directing credits include, Offie Nominated ‘Heads or Tails’ for the Living Record Festival and Brighton Fringe Online, ‘Hamlet’ and ‘The Tempest’ at LAMDA and 'Phantasmagoria' as assistant director with Kali theatre. Skye is an associate acting tutor specialising in Meisner technique at various drama schools including RADA, LAMDA and Arts Ed. Skye also sits on the audition panel for the Foundation, BA and MFA courses at LAMDA.

Learn about the first thing you should do after you get the script. How to identify the thoughts and objectives of your character, putting meaning in your lines and actions and put the subtext to the forefront.
Katie is an actor from Newcastle upon Tyne and a graduate of RADA (2008). Theatre credits include Romeo and Juliet (RSC), Heartbeat of El Salvador (Rise Theatre) Ms. (RADA Festival). Her directing credits include No Exit (Sartre) and Twelfth Night. She is thrilled to be directing this exciting re - imagining of the Gandhari story.

Learn how to get inspired and not copy. You are an unique individual and your evolution as an actor depends upon how well you are able to discover your own voice and technique.
Tom is an actor, writer and director from London and a graduate of RADA. His focus of creative research has been Indian Mythology and it's complex characters. He has written and acted in several plays and shortfilms. He is also a visiting faculty at RADA and an indepenent teacher.

Learn about the challenges & how to prepare yourself for acting in Indian films and series. Understand the cultural and business aspects of the Indian film industry.
Varun Verma is an actor and radio jockey based in Mumbai, India. He has studied acting for screen at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. He has worked in films like Kaun Pravin Tambe, Gulab Gang and Rustom and has also performed in plays like The Bose Legacy. He has conducted theatre workshops for young people and has also worked as an RJ for Radio Mirchi.

Learn the basics of performing Shakespeare's original text. Understand it's rhythm and the cultural contexts. Build a solid foundation for performing better on screen.
Vaishali Chakravarty, an actor, drama education expert, and the founder of Joy Of Drama, a rapidly expanding drama and life skills training organization in India with a strong online and international presence. She works and performs internationally. She is trained in both traditional and contemporary theater forms and holds the Associate & Licentiate Trinity College London diplomas in drama and performance. She has attended courses at RADA, Professional Development Program in Drama-In-Education program at the University of Dublin, Ireland. Vaishali is a prominent speaker and facilitator at drama conferences around the world. Her paper titled 'My Work & Dorothy' was published in the NATD (National Association for the Teaching of Drama, UK) Journal, Issue 36.1.
