Drama in school is still mostly limited to performing a play on special occasions and at home, if at all, is limited only to conversations. Drama as a method has the capacity to significantly expand, improve the efficacy of education and parenting.

n her career spanning over 40 years, Swaroopa has trained under Mr. Ebrahim Alkazi and worked with some of the greatest theatre directors of India, including, Amal Allana, M K Raina, Barry John, Joy Michael, Bhanu Bharati, Avijit Dutt, Anjan Dutt, Sohag Sen, Bivas Chakraborty , Zuleikha Chaudhary, Asit Bose and more.
She has acted in several feature films and TV series, including, Vicky Donor, Madras café, Piku, Pink, War, (Hindi) Vaara, Monsoon Baby (International) Shantilaal O Prajapati Rahasya, Ghawre Baire Aaj, Shatyanneshi Byomkesh (Bengali), Saam Daam Dand Bhed (TV Serial ) Kar Le Tu Bhi Muhabbat (Web Series).
She has taught acting at Shriram Centre Acting Course, Oral School for Deaf and Mute, Dramatic Art and Design Academy, T series Stageworks Academy, The British School and in many corporate and youth organisations.
She has performed on stage and taken Lecture Demo in major festivals in UK, Washington, South Korea, Prague, Moscow, South America, Germany, Beijing, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and others. She has also worked as an actor in NSD Repetory Company and Living Theatre Repertory.
