Former Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Chennai and Tripunithura

Dr Ramamurthy is an educationalist and an academic administrator. She served as the principal of the Chinmaya Vidyalaya Chennai and Tripunithura for 15 years. She was instrumental in starting the teacher training institute at Anna Nagar Chinmaya Vidyalaya and was also the coordinator of the program. She is a member of Central Chinmaya Mission Trust Educational Cell, Indian Association of Pre-School Education and Rotary Club of Royale Tripunithura. She is the Educational Consultant at Amritha Vidyalaya, Kochi and the Main Assessor of CCMT Education Cell for all India Chinmaya Vidyalayas for Academic and Vision Audit.

She holds postgraduate degrees in Child Development, Educational Psychology and Education. In recognition of her distinguished achievements in the field of Special Education, The Inter American University Of Humanistic Studies, USA has awarded her a Ph.D. She has also attended the Leadership Training Program by IIM Ahmedabad organized by the CBSE.

She has won awards like Vocational Excellence, Best Teacher, Best Principal, Tamil Nalvazhi Nilayam (Women of Tamil Nadu) and has been nominated for the Paul Harris Fellowship Award.
